Pixel Games Attack New York City

Here's a very cute short video about retro pixel games on game boy. Personally I think it also implies how technology invades our real life.

isle of dogs

I'm living in isle of dogs. These pictures were taken in Millwall park, on my way back home.
Isle of dogs is a very interesting small island. One side is brand new, busy and highly developed business center, but other side is traditional farms and quiet residential area. Millwall park connects these two totally different life styles together. I enjoy the experience of walking across the park, it feels like walking across different cities or ages. Standing in the park center, I see the buildings growing behind the bush and woods, hearing the voice of development.
I don't know what this man is thinking at the moment, but standing in front of canary wharf his shadow looks tiny and a little lonely.

broken link?

I get this idea when seeing the icon of “broken link image” on internet.
“broken link” is a pun:
* the internet icon --- broken link of online images
* broken link between people
I use the concept to express that technology may bring negative effects to interpersonal communication, it may isolate us from each other if we indulge ourselves in it or use it improperly.

I also like her "WANT to NEED" project. Some images also reveal the conflict between technology and nature life.

FURBY

I found this evil monster in a junk shop on the way home the day before yesterday. Then he became the most adorable guy in the house. Everybody talks to him, plays games and feeds him until the batteries are used up. And all my roommates plan to adopt one soon...
Being the first successful attempt to produce and sell a domestically-aimed robot, Furby is a hot topic about whether eletronic pets contributes to human emotional reparation.
And it is interesting to find behind the bright successful surface, a huge anti-Furby coalition is growing up. Someone says Furby ruined his childhood and someone think Furby isolated him from the real world, etc. Then they come together to destroy Furbis in different ways and upload the video to Internet.
